The Georgia World Congress Center is a convention center like no other. Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the Georgia World Congress Center features 1.5 million square feet of flexible exhibit space, 12 exhibit halls, 98 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, three fixed-seat auditoriums and several beautifully landscaped outdoor plazas ideal for after-hours functions. Georgia World Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park and Mercedes-Benz Stadium comprise the largest combined convention, sports and entertainment campus in North America.
Campus development
Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) campus, which includes Georgia World Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, is the largest combined convention, sports, and entertainment campus in North America. GWCCA’s campus features over 200 acres of prime event space.
Since 2010, GWCCA has invested over $360M to create a championship campus focused on improving connectivity between its facilities and the surrounding entertainment district. Highlights include:
- New 100,000-square-foot Exhibit Hall BC, which creates more than 1 million square feet of contiguous exhibit space
- Pedestrian gateway project creating a seamless guest experience from the surrounding hotel district through Centennial Olympic Park to the front door of the convention center and stadium
- Two new parking facilities increasing capacity to 7,500+ connected spaces
- New luxury headquarter Signia by Hilton Atlanta hotel opening in 2023
