CT Reforma 

Inspired by the historic boulevard Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City, CT Reforma brings Mexico to Buckhead. It is that energy that CT Reforma brings to Atlanta, celebrating Mexican cuisine and its roots. Both owned by Chef Hector Santiago and sitting right across from each other inside Ponce City Market, La Metro and El Super Pan are two different experiences worth a trip.

Grab a Medioa Dia pressed sandwich at El Super Pan with a side of maduros, tostones or yuca frita, and order an empanada de carne and a mojito to enjoy while you wait. At its other location, The Battery, you can enjoy dishes like paella and occasionally stay late for a Boricua party. 

La Metro is Chef Hector’s newest restaurant, which takes us to Spain, where pintxos, tapas, and cocktails set the tone. Grab and go, or stay and enjoy at the beautiful, charming corner restaurant. Share a few tapas and let the experience evolve to full meals like paella and steak. La Metro will want to make you “Ole” in the middle of Ponce City Market.

El Valle

El Valle brings the flavors of central Mexico to Atlanta. It’s one of the few restaurants in Atlanta that offers a variety of Mexican wines.

This plant-based Latin eatery offers a fresh take on traditional dishes, using locally sourced ingredients to create vegan-friendly Latin American classics.

Madre Selva 

Francisco Puerta and Juan Segura opened Madre Selva at the end of 2024, with Chef Carols Enriquez creating Peruvian dishes with Japanese inspiration and Alexander Holender bringing an extraordinary list of cocktails that offer more than a sip, an experience. Start with the mussels, don’t miss out on the ceviches, share the traditional lomo saltado and leave room for delightful desserts. The environment is a breath of fresh air for Atlanta. Take it all in.

Oaxaca offers authentic Oaxacan cuisine, showcasing regional Mexican dishes like mole and mezcal cocktails.

Palo Santo

Palo Santo combines upscale Mexican cuisine with a rooftop experience. The restaurant offers inventive, flavorful dishes that pair perfectly with its cocktail menu. As evening falls, the rooftop transforms into a bar scene where patrons can enjoy sets from some of Atlanta’s top DJs while taking in stunning views of the city.

Papi’s Cuban Grill 

Before takeoff, or as soon as you land in Atlanta, head over to Papi’s Cuban Grill for Latin flavors. Papi’s Cuban Grill has been around Atlanta for over 20 years, becoming essential to Atlanta’s Latin food culture. If you missed them at the airport, stop by one of their five locations around Atlanta, including the one on Ponce de Leon near Ponce City Market.

Patria Cocina 

For over ten years, Chef Octavio has been serving traditional Mexican dishes that reflect family recipes at Patria Cocina. Growing up in Jalisco on a tequila farm, it’s no surprise that Chef Octavio has selected only the best tequilas for the bar. Be ready to be introduced to small-batch tequilas that no other restaurant offers in the city, and try some of the best Mexican salsas. Warning: the chilaquiles during brunch are addictive. Don’t miss out on them; always get them with carne asada. You’re welcome.

Polanco 

Named after one of Mexico City’s most famous neighborhoods, Polanco Taqueria offers fresh Mexican food that will make your mouth water. Traditional dishes like esquites, sopes, and tostadas are great for starting the experience and diving into their offering of tacos in black corn tortillas. Try a tamales for brunch or a traditional Torta Puebla for lunch. Check out their social media for special events when the lights dim and the music gets louder.

Tio Lucho’s 

Grab a friend or five and head to Tio Lucho’s to indulge in sharable Peruvian dishes. Inspired by his father, Luis, Chef Arnaldo Castillo creates dishes that transport us to Lima and Piura, where he grew up. He has given traditional dishes his spin with flavors of comfort and adventure that can be enjoyed in this relaxing and welcoming restaurant. Don’t be afraid to sip the Leche de Tigre from the ceviche bowl; always leave room for dessert.
