EXPLORE SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND MORE
The Southeast Trail is 2.5 miles connecting the Eastside and Southside Trails. The Southeast Trail starts at Krog Street Tunnel and runs through neighborhoods like Reynoldstown, Cabbagetown and Grant Park.
While the Southeast Beltline is one of the newer developments, I love the atmosphere of the trendy restaurants and the variety of things to do. You can stop for a drink at one of the bars along the way and enjoy the beautiful greenspace as you go. This trail brings you near Grant Park, so a stop at Zoo Atlanta is made easy.

A picture perfect spot on the Southeast Trail, make your way down Wylie Street as you start your journey on the Southeast Trail. You may even spot an artist creating a new design, adding to the beauty.

2. Breaker Breaker and Florida Man
![Explore Atlanta Beltline Southeast Trail 2 Explore Atlanta Beltline Southeast Trail](https://discoveratlanta.com/wp-content/uploads/5E4A3369-1024x683.jpg)
Breaker Breaker brings the beachy vibes to the Beltline. Enjoy some of their seafood menu items including Smoked Gulf Fish Dip, Cajun Shrimp Boil and Charboiled Oysters. Head upstairs to Florida Man, which is a Gulf Coast oasis open Fridays through Sundays. My favorite drink to get is the Amity Island which has a gummy shark swimming around your drink.
Where: 921 Wylie St SE
3. Stumpery Garden
This spot on the Southeast Trail has a collection of repurposed logs and tree stumps from construction sites around the city. Trees Atlanta maintains greenspace along the Beltline and this garden is another spot for people to hang out and enjoy the outdoor beauty.
Where: Between Kirkwood Ave. and Wylie St.
4. Muchacho

While you can sit inside and enjoy a coffee while getting some work done, my favorite part of Muchacho is their patio. It’s right on the Beltline so there’s plenty of action passing by. Stop by for breakfast tacos in the morning, a surfer burrito in the afternoon and a margarita in the evening.
Where: 904 Memorial Dr SE
5. Madison Yards
Picture this: you’re walking on the Beltline but you’re in the mood to get your nails done, grab a coffee, knock out some dry cleaning, get in a quick yoga class and then finish with a bite to eat. That may sound like a lot, but it’s all there to explore at Madison Yards. This premiere shopping, dining and entertainment spot can keep you busy. I’ve spent the day there catching a movie at the AMC, then stopping for a bite to eat at the Salt Factory Pub afterwards.
Where: 905 Memorial Drive SE
6. Three Taverns Imaginarium
If experimental beers are your thing, make a stop at Three Taverns Imaginarium. The idea started way back when three friends went on a European road trip and discovered beer brewed by Trappist monks. Now, this brewery specializes in New Monastic and Non-Orthodox beers. With an event always going on, whether it’s Beerlympics or a luau party, this is a great hang out spot with a group of friends. I recommend grabbing a drink here before walking over to check out a show at our next spot.

7. The Eastern

You can even find a concert venue on the Beltline. Located in the Reynoldstown neighborhood, this venue has a capacity of 2,300 making for an intimate concert experience. See bluegrass performers, rap artists and more with plenty of spots nearby to eat and drink at before or after.

Local chef Kevin Gillespie’s restaurant has a MICHELIN recommendation so make a day of dining here. I love how this dining experience feels a little different thanks to the open concept allowing guests to have a view of the kitchen. Prepare for your palette to be amazed.
Where: 924 Garrett St, Atlanta
9. Vickery’s Bar & Grill
An Atlanta staple that’s been around since 1983, check out this spot for Southern food in Glenwood Park. Start with the fried calamari, then enjoy their southern fried chicken dinner including boneless chicken breast, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and bacon and a biscuit. Wrap up the meal with their seasonal creme brulee or the bread pudding with Jack Daniels chocolate sauce and salted caramel sauce. Yum!
Where: 933 Garrett St
10. Grant Park
![Explore Atlanta Beltline Southeast Trail 6 Atlanta Grant Park Summer Shade Festival](https://discoveratlanta.com/wp-content/uploads/Atlanta-Grant-Park-Summer-Shade-Festival.jpg)
A slight detour on the path, make your way to Grant Park. This is where you’ll find Zoo Atlanta, which is fun for the whole family. The northern-most tip of Grant Park is where you’ll find Oakland Cemetery, which is the final resting place of famous Atlantans including Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell and Maynard Jackson. Their Run Like Hell 5k happens in the spring. You better “run like hell” while the Oakland grounds are “pushing up daisies.”
Where: 840 Cherokee Ave SE
If you want your adventures on the Beltline to continue, make your way to the Eastside Trail, which is the most established area of the trail. Hungry along the way? Find the best eats on the Beltline.
While still being developed, the Southside Trail will help connect Grant Park and extend the segment to 2.4 miles.
