Job Description
Position: Intern
Department: Technology
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Position Reports to: VP, Technology & Facilities
General Description
The intern, technology role is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience in supporting technology systems within an organization. The internship provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced IT professionals, assisting with daily operations, participating in projects, and contributing to the improvement of end-user support services. The intern will gain practical skills in technology support, problem solving, and customer service.
Responsibilities (including, but are not limited to the following)
- Technical assistance
- Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Assist with system upgrades and the roll-out of new applications, documenting processes and user feedback.
- Participate in the setup and support of A/V equipment for meetings and company events.
- Project Participation
- Collaborate on IT projects, providing support and gaining insights into project management and implementation.
- Contribute to technology research and evaluation to support decision making on potential IT solutions.
- Support and Training
- Help address technical queries from end-users, providing timely and effective assistance under supervision.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical knowledge and support skills.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Assist in creating and updating documentation for IT processes, user guides, and training materials.
- Compile data and assist in preparing reports on system performance and support activities.

- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications

Education & Work Experience
- Currently pursuing certification or a college degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Additional Information
- Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, 20 hours/week during normal, business hours for a up to 12 weeks – exact work schedule TBD
- Work Environment: Standard, temperature-controlled office environment with moderate office noise level
- Work Location: This is an on-site position located in the Atlanta office
- Physical Requirements: Light lifting to 10 lbs.
