Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau and Chef Taria Camerino Release the Second Volume of Fearless Innovation Cookbook

Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) in partnership with chef and author Taria Camerino has published Fearless Innovation: What Unites Us, the second edition of the cookbook that celebrates Atlanta’s diverse culinary scene.

The second volume continues the narrative that began with Fearless Innovation: Atlanta’s Food Story, which explored the city’s role in shaping the American civil rights movement and how these social changes influenced the local culinary scene. The newest volume highlights the role that the immigrant community has had on Atlanta’s gastronomy and the flavors they bring to the city, featuring 75 recipes from chefs representing more than 30 countries.

“Our first cookbook picked up the story of Atlanta’s culinary journey in the heat of the civil rights movement,” said Andrew Wilson, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, ACVB. “This second cookbook continues the journey, acknowledging the considerable impact our diverse immigrant population has had on what is being served in our restaurants today. What differentiates the Atlanta’s Food Story series from other cookbooks is the rich narrative that delves into the intersection of food, culture and history in Atlanta.”

While crafting the cookbook, Camerino selected chefs who had the ability to express their cultural identity through each recipe. Ultimately, her vision was to showcase how food serves as a way for immigrant chefs to connect with the world.

“Atlanta’s culinary scene is bold and vibrant, thanks in part to the immigrant chefs who have brought their unique flavors and cooking styles to the city,” said Camerino. “My goal for this cookbook was to share more than just recipes, but also the story of each chef’s cultural roots.”
